It's going to be very difficult to secure an investment loan on a STR with bad credit. You should look for a partner, that would be the easiest way. With commercial real estate mortgages you can use an LLC and have the partner with better credit sign for you. You should still expect to be bring down at least 20% down payment even with a value add situation if you are new to the game.
