How can I start investing with $10k

Question

Hi all, I'm brand new, have spent hours and hours researching real estate investment. I'm a mother of 3 boys and I have $10k to my name. How can I get started? I've looked into wholesaling, which is an option, but I have basically no connections with buyers and I'd be nervous to start with no connections. Any advice and suggestions are much appreciated!

I appreciate the honest feedback! I do have a good W2 job and a husband with income as well. We definitely need to continue saving but I think you're right, wholesaling is my best bet to get started. Thanks!

This will be an unpopular opinion, but as a mother of three boys and with only $10,000, I would not invest in real estate.

Now this is not to say you cannot wholesale properties or work in real estate, but I would not invest in real estate with that low of an amount of money.

Thanks, Daniel! I think I will do that. I'm just nervous I wont know what to do next once I find that deal :D I guess I just need to trust the process and go for it!

Just do it....

Finding deals is the best thing you can do and you don't need end buyers for that. If you find a deal with 50% ARV you will 100% find someone to buy that. Most people get stuck looking and looking and looking and researching. You can read a million books on skiing but nothing matters until you go down that first mountain. Drive for dollars, cold call, door knock do something to find a deal and when you find a deal the rest will follow!
