Business license: Type of business?

Question

Any advice on what I should put down for the "type" or "description" of my business on a business license application?

I'll be wholesaling to start off, if that matters.

I agree with John here.  I'm inclined to think that real estate or real estate investing should be a sufficient answer.

Stick to categories that are offered if there is one that is a match. See if the category makes a difference in the fees to be paid. If there are categories you could check to see what other firms are in the category in case people can search by category.

Otherwise be broad in what you say. Real estate investing and finance could make sense.
