STR Regulations in Durham NC

Hi! I'm doing Corporate Housing / STRs in Durham, NC, close to the downtown and Golden Belt area. I've been having trouble getting some clarity on the ordinances there and what steps I need to take to make sure I'm compliant. My LLC is registered in NY State. I am in the process of registering with NC state and getting my tax registration number. I have a lease on my desk. I will not be collecting any money on behalf of the landlord and plan to launch in about a month. Am I OK to sign in the meantime? What else do I need to do to ensure I'm compliant? Are there any zoning permits for that area? Sorry for the rapid fire but as I said it's been a serious run-around trying to get any solid answers. I would really appreciate any guidance here!
