Advice for obtaining 1st property

Tyler Rhoades
Posted
Im looking to build a buy and hold portfolio with a mix of small multi-family and single family homes which I can add an ADU. I’m currently looking for a lender to buy my 1st property. Looking for any advice on Portland market for buy and hold strategies or ways around traditional finance. I’m currently working as a carpenter however I keep hearing I need to make more money. I’m also learning to analyze deals and would love any advice or tips for the Portland market I can get. Thank you

Hey Tyler,

I'm in Memphis but as a general rule, make sure the lender you work with is investor-friendly. Maybe get some recommendations from your investment Realtor in the area.

Best of Luck!
