Starting to Wholesaling Real Estate

Jeremiah Gyorgy
Posted

Hello everyone. I'm completely new to real estate and have been wanting to wholesale real estate for a while. Do any of you guys have any advice on where I should start. I've done affair amount of research through YouTube and articles, but I'm trying to build connections with investors / flippers now so I am ready when I secure deals. I'm wondering where I can find people like that, along with other wholesalers who can help me with my specific questions. Thank you!

Hey Jeremiah, welcome to the space.

You’re already doing the right thing by learning and trying to build connections early. At the beginning, I’d suggest focusing on two things at the same time: understanding deal numbers and getting really good at talking to motivated sellers.

On the connection side, local REI meetups, Facebook groups, and forums like this are great for meeting buyers, flippers, and other wholesalers. Don't overthink having everything perfect before you start. Most learning in wholesaling comes from taking action and having real conversations.

I work on the lead generation side and provide motivated and distressed seller leads to investors, and from what I see, consistency and follow up matter more than almost anything else.

Happy to answer questions as you go, and good luck getting started.
