Advice for starting out
Hi everyone,
I’m 17 and just getting into real estate investing near Calgary. Since I’m still young, my main focus right now is learning and building relationships.
For those who have been in the industry for a while what are your best networking tips? Or in general just tips on getting started out, finding deals, etc.
I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks!

If I could go back, I'd spend less time looking for the perfect deal and more time learning how experienced investors think. Go to local meetups, ask lots of questions, and build relationships without expecting anything in return. Those relationships often lead to opportunities down the road. If you can't find many opportunities locally, there are plenty of online investing communities where you can learn by watching experienced investors analyze real deals. Deni and I have found that's one of the biggest benefits of our Co-Investing Club. The fact that you're starting at 17 gives you a huge advantage—time is on your side.
