Hi everyone,

I’m 17 and just getting into real estate investing near Calgary. Since I’m still young, my main focus right now is learning and building relationships.

For those who have been in the industry for a while what are your best networking tips? Or in general just tips on getting started out, finding deals, etc.

I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks!

You're getting started at the perfect time. At 17, your biggest advantage isn't money, it's time. Focus on learning how to analyze deals, attend local meetups, ask thoughtful questions, and build genuine relationships instead of trying to collect business cards. The people you meet now can become future partners, mentors, or deal sources. Stay curious, be consistent, and don't be afraid to start small, the knowledge and network you build today will pay off for years.
