looking for possible mentor...

My fiancé and I are just starting out on this endeavor and looking for a good network of experienced and knowledgable people who have had enjoyable success. We have been reading what we can on the subject and realize that our networking for our knowledge is the best way to get the most out of our time.

We have been reading and talking and reading some more. We are only two weeks away from having our second child and would like to start taking action towards our goals. 

So, what we would like feedback on is tips on starting out, how to acquire investments or the capital needed to begin the wholesaling adventure, do's and dont's, your success stories or even the ones that failed. Anything that you may be able to offer two young minds with big dreams and plans for us and our two children.
