Laid off March 2014. No independent contractor (1099). Will anyone give me a loan or do I need to wait another 1.5 years?

@James Wise I know this is an old post, but I had to take a screen shot of your questions there. I have a potential partner that asks all of the time what it takes to invest, and I think these will be some good questions for him to ask himself.
