Where to Start(?)

Question

Hello all, I'm new to the BP community and have only 'heard' of the ins and outs to investing.  Personally, I've yet to delve into the investment sector but would like to get started as soon as possible.  Any advice on where to start?

Awesome advice Elizabeth!!  It makes sense to set a goal so I'll know where I'm headed as well as be able to measure whether I'm on the right track or not.  I'm still drilling down on the "mode" but I've come to know what I don't want to do which brings me to your third point in not becoming narrow minded in my approach so to speak.  So with that said, I'll def keep an open mind to investing which can only help me figure out which way I ultimately want to go.  Again, thanks for the advice and taking the time to help a novice!!

The first thing to do is figure out what you want to do! Ie set your goal - ours is early retirement at age 44 and 42

Than the next step is to figure out what mode you want to invest in! Mine is buy and hold rentals.

Than from there you baby step you way to success! Don't let the path you imaged be the only way you will go! We have been incredibly successful but our path to success it not what I would have imaged, 3 years ago when we got started.
