Hello everyone I'm just starting out on the site and I was wondering, How exactly do I go by learning information that is going to help me just starting. What should I start with first? Also how do I condense a lot of this information and get what I need?

 Hello Samuel,

Welcome to BiggerPockets you have come to the right place to learn a ton about Real Estate Investing. These are my recommendations for starting out on the site:

  • Start with the "Learn" tab at the top of your screen and select the #ASKBP option. AskBP has short video/podcast clips, 10 mins or less answering different investing questions. There is one on the first steps that a newbie should take. Also, in the podcast Brandon will recommend some of the first books you should read. You can download the free Ultimate Beginners Guide.
  • There is so much information on the site it can be a bit overwhelming. As far as condensing the information I recommend determining the topic that you are interested in for example, are you wanting info on flipping or analyzing deals or rental property etc.?  Once you determine which area you would like to explore further you can type it into the search box. The results will yield blogs, forums, podcast and people related to that topic of interest.
  • Finally, if you have specific questions like the one you just asked simply type it into the forum and someone will try to assist.

Good Luck with your start here at BP
