Its only been a week since I made the decision to study this field

But i can hardly contain my motivation every waking minute I not at work I am reading/studying or listening to the podcast. Its all I can talk about with my spouse

My question is should I try to hold back some of this emotion or is it good to be this excited?

usually emotions are not good for any investment. But you can use your excitement to study and prepare as much as you can. But when you start making on the ground decisions, you need very objective and less emotional state of mind.
