Buildium and Property Managers

I have a two part questions. First what are the pro's and con's of Buildium? I have been reviewing the software and really like the way it appears to operate.

Second question. If I were using Buildium, what is the likelihood that I could find a Property Manager that would be willing to use it in coordination with my properties? My assumption is that Property Managers have their own software system that they use and it more than likely is not Buildium. Is it too much to ask them to use my system or is it just a detail that can be worked out in an agreement?

Thanks,

Brandon Hamilton

Brandon-

I don't think there would be value in paying for Buildium if you're also paying for a property manager. Many of the features in Buildium would be handled on the PMs side and you wouldn't need to worry about (tenant info, rent collection, work order tracking, ACH payments, website, online applications, property accounting, etc). If you were planning to use Buildium primarily for general bookkeeping in addition to the accounting your PM provides, then there are much cheaper options without all the extra features you wouldn't use. In that case, I'd recommend something like Quickbooks.
