Hello All,

I just took a plunge into Rental investments. I live in California, bought a Rental Condo (financed) in Michigan. I already found tenants to stay at my new investment property.

I was googling for some info online and I ended up at biggerpockets. Need some inputs on

a) Can I open a new California LLC ; a Business Account and link the Michigan Condo to a California LLC

or

b) Do I have to open a Michigan LLC to link this Condo ?

Where can I find more info on how to associate this Rental investment property with a LLC ? What all steps need to be done?

Looking forward for some guidance. I am already thinking to approach Tax/Real Estate Attorney.
