Yellow letter template

I downloaded a notebook paper template to do my own yellow letters. The template states that the sizes are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I changed my Microsoft word side as close as I could to these dimensions A5. But when I print it still doesn't fit the paper. Can I change this to fit my 8.5 x 11 paper?
