I am 24 years old and want to build wealth through rental properties. I have a good paying job and live silver spring Maryland. I need some help on where to start out investing. Should I look close to home? ( DC, Maryland, Virginia) or should I look else where for better deals?

I believe in investing locally. Basically an easy drive to your properties. That opens up a very large area if you are in silver spring. Start out reading the free investors guide under the education tab above. Lots of other good stuff there like the podcasts too.

Gradually you will start to get a handle on the business and can ask more specific questions. A great agent to be in touch with in that area is one of our moderators @Russell Brazil. If you can make it up to Baltimore you have some less expensive choices with better cash on cash returns.
