Hi everyone!

My name is Jessica, and I'm looking to do some short term and longer term investing in real estate. I'm looking at two options right now:

  1. House flipping: I'd like to get involved in doing a house flip, with a friend of mine who is an architect. We're interested in starting with a more cosmetic flip to see how we feel about the process, and decrease risk.
  2. Multi-tenant rentals: I'm interested in purchasing a property that already has tenants to see how that works for me. I'm considering looking at having a management company manage the property for me, but would like to do a local property.

I'm not working right now--taking the summer off before going back to doing some consulting work. I'd really like to never have a full time job again, and that is the motivation for real estate investing.

If anyone has any references or tips on the above topics, I'd love to hear them. I heard about BiggerPockets from a former co-worker, who told me how amazing and helpful this community is!

Thanks!

Jessica
