Getting going
Greetings,
I just moved up to southern Maryland and am looking to start focusing my spare time into real estate. I am currently debating on a few options to help me get started. I am more than likely going to obtain my license to just help gain an understanding of the workings of the real estate business and laws. I am going to focus on wholesaling and fix and flipping right now. Do you think that working with a real estate agent? I am just looking for deals right now and I figure that if I find a good one a buyer can be found no problem. Does this sound like a solid strategy and dodoes anyone have any other advice? I am working through the guides that are on this website as I go.

Welcome @David Gotthold!
Anything that forces you to take a step towards your goal is a good thing. So, gaining knowledge through the RE license route as well as working through the guides on this site is a plus. Stay focused on wholesaling and flipping topics.
And each day work on your "why" of REI.
