Lease to purchase in TX

Hello, my realtor suggests me to do a lease to purchase on a house in Houston TX. I heard that there can be a lot of financial complications if the tenant is late on a payment, I wont be able to kick her/him out and have to forclose on myself first ... is that correct? or a RE lawyer can have all these details in a contract to protect me?
this is my first investment purchase.
thank you
