Hello everyone, I'm Juan Marino. I'm a senior at the University of Arkansas and I'm about to finish my industrial engineering degree. So when I chose my major I never heard about real state, or maybe I just didn't pay attention to it. Now having an internship at a big corporation I realized that yes I could make decent money with my degree choice, but it will take me plenty of years to reach that financial goal I have. I will have to work plenty of hours a day and vacations will not happen very often. So now that I see that real state is a possibility to reach my goals and enjoy a nice life I'm leaning towards it.

I'm planning to take couple classes of real state these last two semesters at the university, I guess my question is if that will be actually worth it to do. Just wanted to know if sucessful people in real state did go through a Real State related major in college or if that might affect how sucessful I could be in the future in this business

Hi @Juan Marino...I agree with @NaDean Bowles about attending your local REIA and other investor groups. Not only will you learn some new stuff; you will actually get the opportunity to network with the people that are actually making things happen. Formal classes are good....but get out where the investors are so you can really see what's going on.
