Getting started in Utah

I hope everyone is having a great start to 2018.

My wife and I have been interested in getting into the real estate world but as many of you know it can be hard to get started. We would love to talk to someone who has been there, done that to learn where to start. The strategies we are interested most in are Buy and hold as well as flipping. We don't have cash to get started which is where the major issue has been to get started. If any of you would be willing to teach us a little it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Hi Chase. You're in the right place to get started.

Keep reading and staying active in this community and you'll start to get a feel for what you're looking at, and things will start to click on how it all works.  Eventually a deal will present itself and you will know if it works for you and how to go after it.

I've got plenty of words of advice that I'd be happy to share but that can go on forever, so I'll keep it short...  Don't rush into a deal just for the sake of getting a deal.  Common first mistake a lot of people make is getting too excited and pulling the trigger without critically analyzing a there opportunity.  If your first deal kicks your butt, you're not likely to go after a 2nd.  So take your time.  There are deals out there now, there will be more later.  No rush - unless there really is a smokin deal that you can get.  In that case, move quick.
