Real Estate While Living Abroad

Good morning all! I am currently living in Dubai, but my wife and I are very interested in getting started by purchasing one house somewhere in our home state of Iowa and renting it out. We will have to hire out the management of the property because we will not be living anywhere nearby. Has anyone had experience with a situation like this? We are looking to build up a few properties slowly over several years, but we will likely be living overseas during that time. Will we be losing too much of our income to property management? Can property managers deal with tenant issues that we might experience?

Hello Jason. I’m a Norwegian investor that live in Dubai and invest in USA. I’ve done so for two years. I have 6 houses in Indianapolis and im happy to share my experiences and systems I have in place to enable me to be a long distance owner. I also have properties in Norway that I self manage and find it much easier to invest in Indy with property management in place. I will message you privately to share more
