Hey BP question: Im currently in the end process of buying my first property a multi, extremely excited and nervous. Im planning on living upstairs which has a big finished attic and renting downstairs which has basement (huge) access. Im thinking of building a wall separating the basement (one side w only access to laundry machines) & one (just accessible to the downstairs unit. I would give the downstairs unit tenants access full access to the basement including laundry room but the upstairs tenants only access to just the laundry room but they as well get the attic to themselves. Is this a good idea? Would you do this? How would you go about it? My thing is i just want the tenants to live peacefully and comfortably without getting in each others ways. Any feed back would be much appreciated! Thank you and good morning! 🙏
