How long do you give it?

So as a newbie investor I was curious about how long you give your prospecting before you change up the tactics. For example, I’m new and been driving for dollars writing letters to physically distressed properties. I’m getting calls from the letters but it’s usually owners saying they’re fixing it them self and want an astronomical amount for their home. As an agent I ad them to my off-market list but that’s it. It’s only been 60 days and I’ve gotten some “near nibbles” but I can’t tell if refining my tactics would work or if I just put my head down and keep pounding pavement. I’m also only on round 2 for most of the letters so I know I should hit them for 6-8 times before I really get critical but
