New Investor Business Cards?

Hello all,

I am a new real estate investor looking to create business cards for networking purposes. With that said, I have no real experience, have completed zero deals and don't have an LLC established thus far. I'm curious if it is helpful to have a very basic/general business card as a new investor or should I wait until I complete a few deals? If it is better to have a business card, should I just keep it to the basic name, email and phone? Any advice is helpful!

@Devin Arrigo. I think business cards as an investor is a great idea. I recently created mine using a free template on one of those business card websites for like $13 for 500 (including shipping). Minor investment for a networking tool. I included essential information on mine (name, email, phone number) as well as the type of investor I am. I have had others ask for my business card when networking with realtors and wholesellers so I present one now.

Hey, passing the card is a part of any business, especially one as networked-related as real estate. I think you've got the right idea. Something very simple and personal to begin with, and then add as you go. One thing I've always tried to include is a street address. Nothing says fly-by-night like a freemail address and no physical location on a business card.

Most people will buy business cards once they have a business running. For this kind of business, it really isn't necessary to have cards at the beginning as you can just give your number out and that person who takes it will just put it in their phone. Every business card I've received from someone in real estate has been from someone who works at a bank, is a Realtor/agent, or is a contractor of some sort. Cannot recall getting a business card from another investor.
