New please help with advice

Hey me and my dad are wanting do this whole real estate thing we are about to go to than merrills real estate workshop for 3 days and I seen some.posts that said it would be better to find a pro what's the best way to look for a mentor in my area I live in riverside california and we really don't have the money to pay for than expensive course any advice on finding someone in my area or maybe some free resources  any info is greatly appreciated really

Go to local REIA meetings or check on Network tab at the top of the screen and click on Events and see what's going on near you so you can exchange ideas and ask questions of local investors. REIA meetings are usually $20 or so (at least where I live) and the other meetups are typically free. You can also check on meetup.com to see if there's anything there as well.

Save your money and skip the course. BP has the same, if not better, advice and it's free. Best of luck.
