Finding pre forclosure properties from county clerk

Yuri Medvinsky
Posted

I found a post on this site that say you can find a pre forclosure properties on your local county clerks office [1]. I called my county clerks office and they told me they send out notices by mail and only post Sale notices online on properties that are already going to be auctioned off. I guess my question is how do you find the pre forclosure properties at the time when notices are being sent out before they go into foreclosure and are auctioned off?

In various stages of the foreclosure process, notices are recorded with the County Clerk at your County Recorder’s Office. This information is public record and is available to anyone. Just visit your county's office and you can search for a Notice of Default (NOD), Lis Pendens or for a Notice of Sale. The best part of searching public records yourself is that it is Free.
