How can I get a head start on real estate as a minor

Question

I an 16 years old, really interested in real estate, and want to start but too young. What can I begin to do now so when I turn 18 I can begin right away and be ready. I have already read a couple books on real estate and know a little.

Hey Luis, i must say i wish i had your mentality at 16(am 28), very nice.  Now i just did some research into whether you can purchase real estate at your age, and the answers are conflicting, but if you have cash from parents, why not reach out to real estate agent and simply ask, and let me know what he/she says

Get some real life experience, books are only good along with hands on experience at the same time otherwise you cannot truly learn it

@Luis Diaz great that you are asking this question. First of all, please do not , i mean DO NOT screw up your school/college plan. Yes, some folks made a lot without school but with a college degree (good one)  you will have lot more leverage for next 50+ years in your life (i.e. you continue your education with good grade for next 6 years and if you do it right , that 6 years will pay your back for 50+ years to come).

Having said that, if you want to get into real estate suggest that you do part time by helping local wholesellers and do the following:

1) make a list of wholesellers in your area

2) call them up and see if they will let you pick up anything on their marketing side and once you in you can gradually know more.

Upside is that , they will be happy to pay you more that 3% commission if you can brings them deals via marketing.

@Luis Diaz never stop learning. I know a lot about real estate, but I am always seeking new ideas. One idea can be worth millions, so get exposed to different investors, books, podcasts, etc. then edit the advice to fit your goals. Don't ever think that you know it all. Once you are 18, move out of your parents place and your learning will expand.
