How to grow my personal network

Posted

I’m new to real estate investing - as in, I’m doing research, but I haven’t actually started yet! I live in San Diego, so I’m planning an out-of-state long-term buy and hold strategy with the goal of cash flow. I’m thinking of getting 3 properties to start and hopefully grow that over time. I know location is important but I think the most important first step for me is to find an excellent team I can trust. My plan is to interview property managers in areas that seem interesting and use that process to help narrow down the location. I don’t have anyone in my personal network that does real estate investing or property management. I’m hesitant to pick people without referral. And I’m also not sure how willing other investors are to share/introduce their rock star team. What are some ways to grow my network and meet other investors or property managers? I have joined some facebook groups and meetups. Are there any other networking groups for this type of thing?
