Writing a Wholesale offer as Assignment

I'm looking to write an offer on a property that is listed on the MLS to assign to an investor. I have my RE license but I don't on presenting myself as a real estate agent and simply as a buyer, I am not marketing myself as an agent either. Is this legal and what is the best way to go about writing the offer?
