What do you think makes a great, reputable Wholesaler?

As a newbie here, I've been thinking long and hard about starting my journey into REI by starting out with Wholesaling. My main reason is to build up some capital this way and to also, hopefully build up some confidence in dealing with sellers and buyers. My concern, though, is it seems like Wholesalers get a bad rap, and I do NOT want to be lumped in the "shady Wholesaler" category. So, my questions to all of you, who have dealt first hand with Wholesalers, are listed below. Please feel free to advise on things that, as a newbie, I wouldn't even know to ask at this point, too!

  1. What do you wish Wholesalers did more of before presenting a deal to you?
  2. What has a Wholesaler done in the past that wowed you and showed you they went above and beyond?
  3. What mistakes have Wholesalers made in the past w, that cost you money or could have ruined a deal for you or just plain turned you off from Wholesalers?

I appreciate all your candid advice and look forward to reading what you have to say! Thanks Everyone!
