Newbie Investor in NYC

Currently own a MFH in NYC and looking to start to do BRRRR for some passive cash flow and possible flips as well. NYC market has become so expensive that it's getting difficult to compete against all cash investor. Where are investors in NYC investing these days, nearby state and/or upstate like Albany?
