Short sales surprise

Found my self very excited to find a short sales. I called my real estate agent and he said he will call me back. Few minutes past and he said something doesn’t feel right.

I could see the dollar signs flying away. He said the house was listed for $780k and now it’s at $125k. Yea that didn’t make any sense.

I’m not sure what else to do.
