I’m moving to Montana

I'm moving to Montana with my wife and two beautiful boys in the beginning of 2021. We "own" our home and we refinanced with a VA loan. Remodeled the main level and laundry room. Should I sell my house NOW and buy a duplex and live in that until we move to Montana, and then rent out both and have income right away.
