Books/podcasts/people to help with buying storage facilities?

Question

Looking to get into renting storage units and wanting to know if any books/podcasts/people to read listen to and follow on the subject. New to bigger pockets so if anyone has any direction on this site as well that can help me that would be great!

@Nathan Burris there is actually a free virtual Self-storage summit, in a few weeks, which will be a huge resource. Many experts in the industry speaking on various topics. It's being hosted by Jim Ross who himself has a podcast you should check out called The Self Storage Show

- consider buying the 2020 Self-Storage Almanac by Mini Storage Messenger - storage is the only real estate asset class I know of that has an almanac with all the info you could possibly want about the industry

Hello, I would highly suggest that you search for self storage on BP, as there is a wealth of information in prior threads.  As well as set up a notification for "self storage", so you will be alerted of new topics.

In addition to the resources that @Yonah Weiss, I would also suggest look at @Kris Bennett's Storage investor podcast, as well as look for Scott Meyers, Michael Wagner (Storage Rebellion), and Mark Helm's youtube videos.
