College student looking to assist investors

Hello, my name is Matthew and I'm currently a college student in Austin, Texas.  I recently realized I've gone through some paralysis by analysis for months on this site and others by learning, reading, watching information about Real Estate Investing, but continuing to make excuses for not taking action.  I'm attempting to change my mindset and would love to take action in the form of helping out any real estate investors in the Austin area in the form of an intern/assistant, in order to learn and absorb experience.  Whether that is driving around taking photos, market research, analysis of properties(I've been working in excel and pulling houses on Zillow just to practice looking at what the expenses and returns would be via a property analysis calculator), grunt work, some extra time dedicated to tasks you can't be bothered with, marketing, etc.  If you're in the Austin area and need an assistant or some help on the side, I would love to connect.

In addition, I've heard a lot of people recommend newbies go to REIA's, but I am not certain if there's a certain group that anyone would recommend over others, purely because I was looking and one of them I saw said you basically need to pay to be a member.

Thank you for your time!
