Wasn't sure where to post this, but who out there has gotten a college degree in real estate? How much did it really benefit you and would you recommend it to others? I have my GI Bill from the military and I also will get a paycheck from them while going to college so I figured I might as well use it. Would others who have gotten a degree in real estate recommend it? Anyone with other business degrees please put your input and let me know how other degrees have benefited you in your RE career.
If it helps with any feedback you guys have the career path I am looking to take is to be an agent (currently where I'm at) and eventually get my brokers license and get into luxury and commercial real estate brokerage with the goal of opening my own brokerage or buying into a franchise, as well as working closely with developers/builders. As for investing, buy and hold small multifamily residential and commercial retail properties.

@David Nacco understand wanting to use your GI Bill but it isn't necessary to become an agent, I'd recommend a broader major of business so that you can change your mind on careers, none of the degree programs really benefit REI aside from learning how to do basic math and maybe a few on the psychology of negotiating/ marketing.

@Aaron K. I'm thinking more of it being useful for owning my own brokerage one day and working with developers on projects not so much for investing.

@David Nacco still not going to teach you much that is relevant to that, you'll learn more working as an agent. Go to school and get the degree if you want to be hired somewhere, if you want your own brokerage the degree means next to nothing to the people you'd be working with.
