Mortgage for home with septic issues

I put in an offer on a home that the listing agent said has “septic issues”. I plan to have an inspection done but I’m concerned I won’t be able to get a mortgage for the property if the septic is not functional. Since the property is a short sale and is being sold “as is” I’m certain the seller will not fix it. Are there any other options?
