Looking for some advice on where to start

So I've recently started looking into real estate investing and listening to the bigger pockets podcast, but I'd really like for someone to help point me in the right direction. I have a good chunk of change that I've been saving up for a while now and I'm just about ready to make a move. Since I'm still living at home I'm thinking about doing a house hack and buying a duplex so I can have somewhere to live on my own and possibly bring me passive income too. After I figure that out then I wanted to try to get into the BRRR strategy and go from there. Again I'm just looking for some advice. I really don't know if this is the best possible path for me to choose or how to really go about beginning the process. Any and all information would be helpful!

@Eric Mota Hi Eric! I would start out by finding your local REIA (real estate investors association) and start networking. You can speak with other investors who are like-minded, and can give you contacts for local realtors who they've made deals with in the past. Also, it really helps when your realtor also invests in the area that you are looking in. Build your network! It is intimidating and scary at first but its a great place to start!
