203k Loan and House Hacking

Hello BiggerPockets members,

I hope everyone is staying safe and spending some time with loved ones.

I am a newbie looking to start my Real Estate investing journey with a house hack, potentially a rehab in the Las Vegas area. I have been researching and I now want to reach out to a lender so that I can begin the process. Does anyone have a lender they can recommend?

This will be my first real estate investment and I would love to hear any tips, feedback, and best practices from the BP family.

Hey Kalvin - this is exactly how I got started! You're on the right track, and vegas is a great market for this kind of strategy. 

If you'd like to see who does the most 203k loans in your market, google "203k endorsement summary", go to the most recent month, and look up Las Vegas. It will show you which companies have done the most 203k loans in vegas that month, and this year total. 
Give those lenders a call to start. Ask who heads up their renovation lending.
