Hi all, my spouse and I are looking to buy our first rental property in Illinois (either in Chicago or Western suburbs). Just starting to do research and looking for advice on potential areas/zip codes to look at.  Thanks!

I live on the Northwest side of Chicago, in a neighborhood called Montclare. It's about 15 minutes east of Norridge and 15 minutes north of Oak park. I like the area as it's close to O'hare airport, shopping, food, public transportation, etc. It's a safe area. So far the property value has increased. No easy access to any of the highways so it adds a little more of a drive to some trips. This location seems renter friendly as well. Zip codes: 60634, 60641, 60639, 60706. I'm also on the hunt for a rental investment. Good luck with your search.
