REITs for College Students

I am a college student who wants to invest in Real Estate upon graduating. In order to do so, I believe putting my money in REITs and stocks are the way to go until I am out done. Doing this will allow me to have some money to begin investing right away.

My favorite stock/REIT is Arbor Realty Trust due it growing consistently year over year and a 5-9% dividend a year. The financials look sound as well and the company is well strapped with cash to ride out future problems with Covid. Which of REITS do you guys suggesting investing in and why?
