Brokers! What do you look for when choosing firm?

Brokers that have recently passed their exams to seasoned professionals, what are some things that make a firm desirable to work for?

Continued free training, commission structure, high level Realtors at the firm, support structure (if any), expectations of me, etc

@Jeremiah Fennell reputation.  a lot of firms have some pretty bad reputations and that will make everything about your "job" an uphill battle.  And firms with good reputations tend to have those support structures, etc. already in place.

For me it's mostly about splits/fees. If I am pulling in 95% I expect to advertise on my own. Walking the deal from start to finish on my own. If I hire a transaction coordinator it's the one I choose and not one that the office is making money off of. If I was starting off in a new area I would co-list the first couple I found with someone in the area who could help me get through the nuances for half the commission. Personally I wouldn't take a lower split because they had training, threw in on an advertising budget, offered an assistant, 50 copies a week and free office coffee.

But that is just my opinion. I figure I am running a business and I would rather take my own deductions as I see them needed vs less money in pocket and someone else taking the deductions. Each agent is different though

Support structure would be a big one in my book. I've noticed that some BICs are usually overwhelmed and hard to get in contact with.
