Stay at home mom eager to invest ! Advice please

Hi guys!

Currently I am a stay at home mom, my husband is our main source of income. Last year when I found BP I posted my story and part of it was that I am enrolled in an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (started last fall 2019) and I had feedback to get through school & wait to invest. Because essentially I wanted a good career that I’d like & base pay 1) for financial stability and 2) to be able to save and grow to invest ... but it has been over a year and I’ve been doing my research, listening to podcasts & read several books mostly Brandon’s and David Greene’s.

Anyways I’m getting to this point where I WANT to do something with real estate! I know it’s what I was meant to do, and waiting these next two years I feel like I COULD be doing SOMETHING ! Maybe work for an investor somehow , or possibly get my real estate license to be more educated about the processes and ultimately benefit me once I start investing ??( running my own comps, saving money with realtor fees, etc.)

Can anyone please send some advice my way!

I am a very motivated young 26 year old mom wanting better for her situation & family!

**side note: I’m currently living with my in laws(rent free) , I have 3 small children (4,3& 4 months) , my husband cannot afford a mortgage at this time (he already had a job change 2 months ago and is getting paid more now) so we’re trying, but the cost of living in ny is expensive unfortunately. We have probably 10-12k in savings.

Thanks in advance for any input !
