ROCKSTARS needed around Asheville, NC

James Davidson
Posted

Hello Bigger Pockets Community,

My name is James Davidson. My wife and I are physicians who will be relocating to the Asheville area in July of 2021. I currently work at Mission Hospital and commute from Morganton NC which is about 50 minutes east.

We are going to start investing in rental properties in Asheville and the surrounding areas and are looking to build some long term relationships with agents, lenders, property managers, and contractors.

We are both considered high earners with very stable jobs, consistent income, and credit scores well north of 800.

Neither of us would consider ourselves experts in the real estate investment game and would not try and tell you how to do your job. We are not high anxiety people or micro-managers. We understand that not every deal is as great as the ones featured on Bigger Pockets. We want partnerships with the potential for growth.

Also, I work at a large medical practice with other high earners that may be looking to invest depending on how things go with our first couple of deals.

Our time table to invest is in the 6-18 month time frame but I thought finding great people early would be the best strategy. Our goal would be 2 properties per year to start. We are very open to ideas but so far feel like multifamily or single family BRRRRs make the most sense to us at the beginning.

Let me know if you are interested in talking, emailing, or if state mandates allow having lunch (on me of course).

Thanks,

James Davidson

@James Davidson - I'm happy to talk with you anytime. It seems we may have similar stories. I was an engineer when I started investing and utilized the BRRRR strategy to grow my portfolio. @Taylor L. may be right.  It can be demanding and my day job was ~50h/wk, so as a physician it may be a lot depending on how hands-on you want to be. Happy to talk anytime and discuss what strategy works best and connect you with some great people for your team.
