My wife and I will be making our first investment soon. She is a travel nurse and we have been traveling for a little over a year and saving everything we can. We are approaching our goal and I have been reading and learning a lot deciding what route to go. I definitely would love some experience with managing or even being involved in some residential renovations. I am very good with my hands and plan to do a lot of work myself on our purchase. We are currently in San Diego and I have nothing but time on my hands to learn. Pursuing knowledge over salary. I’m highly driven and willing to listen. Any referrals would be appreciated to people or companies that need help as well! Thank you!
@Connor Jones If you want to learn how to renovate and rehab properties, then it's probably best to find someone in your area who's doing what you want to do. You may be able to find someone here on BP willing to teach you the ropes. Another option is to check with your local real estate investment club. See who the key players are who are actually doing deals. Offer to help them out in exchange for you to learn from them. Hope that helps. Best of luck with your real estate investing journey!
Wow what a great plan! Get out there and build a skill and knowledge base now so when it comes time for your first project you will be ready. I wish I had a project going right now to put you to work on, but I am sure someone else would like an apprentice.
Best of luck to you and keep us updated.
