I live in Rock Hill, sc and I’m finally ready to make the jump into real estate investing!! I’ve been on the fence for a while and made my mind up that I WILL purchase a property in 2021. Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated, this is a huge moment in my life and I want to make sure I do this right...

Mike,

Your picking a great time to start your real estate investing journey!  Mortgage rates are at an all time low and property values remain strong.  There will also be a larger number of home opportunities coming in the next few years due to Covid-19 and it's effect on lost jobs, income and lost homes...  My advice would be to get pre-approved by a bank/lender and know your mortgage/finance options.  You can buy your investment home with a mortgage loan and in 6 months or less pull your down payment cash back out.

The preventive measure is to know your options and evaluate your numbers up front ahead of time.  Do not wait or apply at the last minute and get stuck in a situation, where you need to close and find out you have delays.  Use BP members for all of your steps from Realty, Banking, Lease Management, etc...
