Real estate photography to get started

Posted

Hey there! I made a forum post asking about how to get started in real estate as a student with a virtually 0 budget.

I do have a camera and some gear, though. I was wondering if anyone could offer feedback/advice on what they think of getting into real estate photography for a way to get in with real estate investing?

I'm hoping it will help me network with other investors/realtors, learn a few things about real estate, and even earn some cash on the side.

I'm planning on going on listing sites for properties near me. Properties that have been on the list/site for a while and don't have the best pictures of their property I will reach out to and offer cheap photography services to them. Do you think this will work for me? Any advice/suggestions/anything would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Christian,

First things first...Which aspect of Real Estate do you want to be involved in?
Real Estate have a lot of avenues. Fix & Flip, Developers, Investors, Property Managers, etc.

I think your photography skills is a great way for you to get your foot in the door to talk with people.
Shoot, you can even get your foot in the game by talking with the local Mailman.

My advice is: Figure out what you want to do. Then talk with people that are doing what you want.
You want to be a Real Estate Agent? Talk with Agents. Wanna be a Flipper? Talk with Flippers and Contractors.
