House Hacking- No Vacancies

Adam Gordon
Posted

Hello Everyone,

First time poster here. Could not find a previous post about this issue but apologize if its already been addressed. Looking to buy first multi family property with FHA loan and live in one of the units. I found a duplex but both units are occupied for 6 more months. Would I be able to obtain FHA financing for this deal if I moved in after the lease was up or would I be required to obtain a conventional commercial loan (which would defeat the purpose of house hacking). Any advice appreciated.

Thank you,

Adam
