Down payment Assistance programs?

Hey you guys I have been reading about down payment assistance programs lately and wanted to see if anyone on here has ever tried it out? or has any more information as to how it works?

@Betsy Mendez DPA program  can be used for primary home. You can check your county website what program they are offering for down payment assistance. DPA program can be used for down payment and closing cost depend on guidelines of program. FHLBC can be used in most of States. Registration is available for FHLBC.
